As an educator with years of experience in early childhood development, I can confidently say that this center sets the standard for quality care and education. The staff is not only warm and nurturing, but also incredibly knowledgeable about child development and age-appropriate learning. The environment is safe, inclusive, and thoughtfully designed to support exploration, creativity, and social-emotional growth. What really stands out to me is the genuine connection the educators build with each child and their family. There’s a strong sense of community and a clear commitment to each child’s well-being and development. I’ve seen firsthand how the team encourages curiosity and independence while providing a solid foundation for learning. If you’re looking for a place where your child will be cared for, supported, and inspired, I highly recommend this center. It’s a place where children truly thrive.

Guardian Artarmon, the educators don’t just care of the children, they inspire love for the learning, that last for lifetime, which I felt while having my son at Guardian Artarmon. The staffs seem happy and servicing the centre for long time - 6 years.

Our son started at Guardian Artarmon when he was 10 months old, he is about to turn 3 and we still love the centre. It’s a small centre with a nice welcoming feel, all the educators and parents acknowledge each other each day. The outdoor learning spaces are as large as the indoor spaces which is great as our son loves the water play and sandpit outside. They create great learning experiences and communicate well with us as parents on his development. The location is also really convenient with a secure undercover carpark which is great for pick up and drop off in the rain. I highly recommended this centre.

Our daughter attending guardian artarmon for a year and was in the shooting stars room. We absolutely loved our child attending here. The staff are extremely caring and it felt like we were dropping our child off with family every time. She was treated like a celebrity at drop off as they were so excited to see her. The only reason we had to leave was because we moved away. I wish we could have moved the daycare with us 😭 special mention to Carol the centre manager and Ivana the baby room leader. M.Hiscox misses you all and still talks fondly of her time there xx

Our first son has been at this childcare centre for 2 years and our second will be joining in a few months. We have continued to take our son here despite Covid and the drive being a bit of an inconvenience with us working from home. The staff at Guardian Artarmon are caring, professional and knowledgeable. Great communication around what our kid is up to and any challenges and milestones. Highly recommend!

Guardian Artarmon is one of my top choices made so far after I gave birth to my son who is now 15 months old. Charlie first joined this Centre when he was turning 12months at that time I had visited quite a few childcares to contribute to the final decision. There are many good childcare’s out there, but as a mum you just want to find the best one which suits your son and your family values. On my visitation day, we were actually 15mins late already due to the traffic but the Centre manager Clare did not get mad with us at all instead she was so friendly and patient with us. She not only followed COVID rules checking our temperatures before we walked in but also gave us some information about this Centre. After we got inside the baby classroom, my baby Charlie went straight to the floor and started to play by himself. I was totally shocked and continued to talk with Clare ,making sure I do ask her lots of questions. As return, she can answer any question I had prepared earlier on even she can tell you how old of each child in front of us. From my experience, she is full of knowledge, passion and professionalism. Because of this nice start , I enrolled my son quickly after we left the Centre. However, this is just the beginning! Each time I dropped Charlie at Centre, the educators made me full of confidence that my son is going to have a great time at Centre , indeed no one has disappointed me, I have great respect for these people who are trained to do their job well. Carol, Ivana, Anna , Joanna , etc everyone who is on the team would make you happy and assured that your baby is also happy. After sending him to childcare almost 4months now, I am still happy about my decision and I can tell my son has grown tremendously in his both character and abilities. The learning curve and environment is very suitable to kids at this age, watching him playing different activities each time on story park with other kids from different backgrounds are so enjoyable, I would never thought a one year and 2months baby can make card to me, be able to draw and paint with the educators’ support, lol.. Anyway I am truly fascinated by such experience which Guardian Artarmon have deemed to create each day! During the last Christmas season, we were even invited to join the online carol party with our kids to share the unforgettable memories due to COVID-19, it was so much fun. At last, Life at Guardian is the best gift I can give to my son, hope you can find your best Centre for your precious one, too.I highly recommend this place to you because this team is so reliable, you won’t want to miss it!

This is a friendly and safe environment for kids to play and grow. The center manager is kind, professional and well knowledgeable. ALL Staff here made me feel welcome and confident to drop off my kid on his two orientation days and first official day so far. My kid is turning to 1 this coming Friday, it is always hard for us to put him to sleep at home, but with the educators' help, he went to sleep in half an hour today in his first official day! I AM super happy about it. Thanks to Clare and all her professional team for the support and genuine care for my son!

An awesome child care where staff love what they are doing and share the love with the children. Very good environment :)A year after my son is put into this centre, we notice that he has developed good habits learnt from the centre. Among the many good habit: always sit down sweetly and eat (doesnt roam around with food), wearing a hat when outside, doesnt throw thing anymore. Thank you for making such a great contribution to the growth of our son!

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Morning

Our friendly Nursery team of familiar educators will be there to greet you and support your baby to settle in for the day.  Breakfast time is available & families are welcome to stay and enjoy with the children. This is also a great chance for conversation to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Our nursery learning environments are set up indoors and outdoors for your baby to engage with a variety of planned experiences while they interact with our team such as exploring picture books, singing songs together. We also offer morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Dependent on the needs of every baby, we time lunch to suit the children. Team members will support your child to eat and/or have a bottle, and when they are ready, are gently settled for sleep or rest. With an open-door policy, families can enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby if you wish.

Mid-Afternoon

Our nursery planned experiences (both indoor and outdoor) continue and there are opportunities for movement, playing games, more books and songs, or sensory exploration. Afternoon snack is provided.

End of Day

We’ll have your baby’s belongings ready for you at pick up time. The Nursery team will share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your child for a smooth transition to your evening. Please grab a piece of fruit or snack on the way out!

Artarmon Centre Manager Image

Minyi and team

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Minyi, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Every role at the Centre is as important as the next.

How will you share updates about my child’s day?

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:

  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

But remember our door is always open.

What are the main features of this Centre

Guardian Childcare and Education Artarmon offers the warmth and comfort of a family home, in north Sydney. Our purpose-built outdoor space is accessible from every classroom and has plenty of room in which to run, ride and explore.

Our spacious day care and child care centre provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged six weeks to six years of age, supporting them to discover the world in a safe and secure way. The centre is filled with bright, stimulating materials that encourage children to explore and engage their curiosity to discover more about the exciting world around them.

Children are supported through those important early years to explore and develop their social and emotional skills through their early learning journey by a dedicated team of university-qualified Teachers and Educators. They create learning experiences in a supportive environment that fosters creativity and imagination in a safe environment for young age groups.

Guardian Artarmon is open from 7.30am to 6.00pm every weekday, so each family are provided with plenty of flexibility for the hours they work and the time they choose to drop off and pick up their child. During drop-off or pick-up times, we encourage you to stay for a little while and spend some time exploring the learning environment.

At our St Leonards day care and Artarmon preschool, our Educators and Teachers are here to guide you through the wide range of play materials and educational spaces we offer. They’ll help you explore our approach to learning and show you how to continue the journey at home with fun, engaging activities. We believe in involving the whole family in your child’s care and education, ensuring they feel happy, supported, and confident as they learn and grow.

Through our family communication app, Storypark, you’ll receive regular updates, including photos and insights into your child’s day. This keeps you informed about their early learning and development journey. Storypark also allows us to set specific learning outcomes for your child, helping them achieve developmental milestones and grasp new ideas with ease.

For children aged three and four, our Artarmon preschool program is led by university-qualified Teachers who are dedicated to preparing your child for the step into primary school. Our preschool curriculum is grounded in leading child development research, reflecting our commitment to offering quality child care services in Artarmon and St Leonards.

Our early childhood education program, led by expert Educational Leaders, delivers flexible, research-backed learning tailored to each child’s needs. Aligned with the National Quality Standard, our curriculum fosters discovery and provides the best start to life for your child—whether you’re seeking child care in St Leonards or preschool in Artarmon.

Through our high-quality preschool program, children have the opportunity to learn some of the skills that are often only introduced in early primary school. We begin learning and exploring shapes, numbers and letters through fun, play-based activities.

At East Willoughby Preschool, we focus on developing each child’s literacy and numeracy skills to help them feel confident and prepared for the important transition to primary school. Our high-quality program is designed to support the unique needs and routines of every family, while celebrating each child’s cultural and family background in a nurturing environment.

As a leading Willoughby childcare provider, we are passionate about children’s nutrition. Our on-site cook prepares nutritious, freshly made meals tailored to children’s needs. We also involve children in food preparation and encourage them to learn about where their food comes from, why it’s good for them, and the cultural heritage of different cuisines. This helps foster a love for healthy eating and promotes diversity and inclusion from an early age.

Through our unique Visible Learning Program, families at East Willoughby Preschool can stay actively involved in their child’s education. Our Learning Exchange Display allows Teachers and Educators to share updates on your child’s progress and provides an opportunity for you to contribute directly to their learning journey.
