At Guardian, we know how important it is to support each child’s individual learning and development. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce our new To BE Me curriculum—a comprehensive approach that helps children aged 0-6 years learn and grow through each age stage.
Our teams are excited about the launch of To BE Me! Why? From streamlined tools to enriched programs, here’s why our new curriculum is a beneficial for educators, families, and, most importantly, children.
Putting Children First with a Tailored Approach
As an educator, you know that every child is unique; they learn at their own pace and in their own way. That’s one of the core philosophies behind To BE Me. The curriculum ensures we understand each child across broad areas of development and allows us to tailor learning experiences to meet their individual needs.
By breaking down learning into ‘Development Pathways’ for six different age stages, we make it simpler for families to understand their child’s developmental milestones and progress. Whether it’s our incredible Flying Start to School Program kindergarten / preschool program for 3-5 year olds, or the focused plans we’ve developed across all age stages, To BE Me offers detail and insight into every step of a child’s learning and developmental journey.
Our Development Pathways are simple, visual tools that show the developmental progress of children at each of these age / stages over time against our 7 Guardian learning outcomes.
Empowering Teams with the Right Tools
One reason teams are loving To BE Me is the simplicity it brings to their daily work. We’ve created tools like Development Pathways and Recipe for Learning Cards to help educators:
- Understand children’s learning and development in greater depth
- Plan engaging and responsive learning experiences for each child
- Observe and track learning progress with ease
- Support each child’s unique growth over time
- Communicate learning journeys clearly and effectively to families
These tools aren’t just about making our educators’ work more efficient—they’re about creating richer, more dynamic educational programs that involve the whole team working together.
Building Meaningful Connections with Families
At Guardian, we prioritise forming strong partnerships with families. To BE Me makes it easy for team members to have meaningful conversations with families about their child’s development.
Our educators are able to share insights like, “Here’s where your child started, here’s where they are now, and here’s how we’re supporting their next steps – together.” These conversations build trust, deepen connections, and ensure families feel confident and informed about their child’s growth.
Our simple tools also allow families to stay connected to their child’s learning in real-time, helping them feel engaged in and reassured by the incredible work our teams do every day.
Less Writing, More ‘Inspiring’
We’ve also minimised the amount of writing educators need to do. With quick, clear tools in place, our Lead Educators and Teachers can focus their time and energy on what they do best; creating experiences that inspire and support children to thrive.
This means less paperwork and more time spent doing hands-on, meaningful work with the children in our care.
Why To BE Me Sets Guardian Apart
At Guardian, we pride ourselves on being leaders in early childhood education. What makes us stand out is the rich, high-quality programs we offer and the incredible passion our teams bring to their work every day.
By combining expert insights, practical tools, and a personalised approach, we’re empowering educators to deliver extraordinary outcomes for children, and we couldn’t be prouder.
