What Makes Teaching at Guardian so Rewarding?

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be more than “just” a teacher? At Guardian, being a Teacher means being a valued, professional leader who plays a critical role in shaping the future of children while growing your own career. We don’t just employ our teachers, we invest in them.

Here’s what it means to be part of our team and why so many of our Teachers love working at Guardian.

What Does It Mean to Be a Teacher at Guardian?

Being a Teacher with us means being part of a supportive community, where your passion for supporting young children to learn and grow is celebrated. We know teachers want a role with leadership, connection, and purpose. As a Teacher at Guardian, you’re an educational leader, a source of inspiration for your team, and a trusted person to support children and families.

We offer lots of opportunities for Teachers to become:

  • A leader or champion in areas like sustainability, safety, or languages
  • A Room Leader, Educational Leader, or even an Assistant Centre Manager or Centre Manager
  • A valued member of our Leadership Council, influencing decisions across Guardian.

We believe every Teacher has unique strengths and aspirations, and we’re here to help each Teacher thrive in a role that makes the most of their skills and ambitions.

The Teachers@Guardian Program

At Guardian, we know the importance of recognising, celebrating, and supporting our Teachers. That’s why we’ve created the Teachers@Guardian Program—a framework designed to make quality teaching practices visible and to foster professional growth.

Through this program, we focus on developing our Teachers’:

  • Professional Knowledge—Deepening your understanding of Early Childhood education.
  • Professional Practice—Empowering you to design effective and meaningful learning experiences
  • Professional Engagement—Encouraging collaboration, reflection, and connection among Teachers, Mentors, and Leaders.
  • Educational Leadership—Helping you guide and inspire your team to deliver exceptional outcomes for children.

Why Did We Create Teachers@Guardian?

We believe you do your best work when you feel supported and inspired. We know that a teacher who is valued and celebrated for their work is a happy, motivated teacher!

Here, you’ll have the chance to continuously discuss, reflect, and refine your teaching practices with your Centre Leaders, Mentors, and fellow team members.
